The 2018 Grass Roots Rally Was a Rousing Success!

The Lincoln County Democrats Club held its annual Grass Roots Rally on September 15, 2018. Attendees were treated to good food, good conversation, an excellent speech by the featured speaker, lots of fun and games and, in the process, raised funds for our candidates and good causes. Join us as we review the highlights of the evening!

 With the speeches concluded, it was on to the pie auction. Ed Schieffer does the auctioning honors while Adam Burkemper and David Beckham do their best Vanna White impressions.

 Faced with two beautiful apple pies, made by Dottie Crenshaw and his own lovely wife, Jan, Adam identifies the first pie incorrectly as being Dottie’s handiwork. Dottie and Jan are having none of it, and leap into action to set Adam straight as he tries to smell out the true identity of the first pie’s creator. Jan heads back to her seat after setting things straight.

The 2018 Grass Roots Rally was a resounding success, needed funds were raised for our candidates and scholarship fund, and the candidates met with voters and got their message out. A good time was had by all. We look forward to another great time next year. Make plans to join us!
